Rebuild with Love - Closing at Zone 2012

I recently went to see an old partner of mine. For his own reasons he went his way some years ago. And once he went away, he joined some people who tried very hard to harm us as a company and me personally. I was extremely angry for a while. We have a saying in my language – “The King punishes immediately, but the Lord punishes eventually.”

Whatever goes around comes around and I was shocked to hear a few months ago that he had had a stroke and was immobilized. View full article »

The Ten Pitfalls and Pillars of Life

Filed Under: Dato' Vijay Eswaran @ The Zone by Vijay Eswaran — 1 Comment
April 25, 2012

A pitfall is defined as a camouflaged source of trouble or danger – a hidden hazard.

Take, for instance, a hole in the ground. You might not see it as you’re walking and be caught unaware. Thereby, falling into it and ending up at the bottom of the abyss.

On the other end of the spectrum, you have the pillar – a vertical support used to uplift and hold oneself up. Pillars form the essential support for buildings and other structures and, in essence, keep the roof over one’s head. In this sense of the word, uphold the principle that in turn holds up the foundations of your life.

There are ten main pillars one should be aware of. Harnessing them effectively can be the key to your success. Otherwise, these same pillars can turn into pitfalls, leading to one's own demise. View full article »

Japadas wows the participants at Zone

The human body is the most important vehicle that any person can have. So, what can you do without this vehicle? Can you achieve success without this vehicle? Are you really driving this vehicle to maximum capacity?

The human body has 5 main sensory organs.

Eyes, nose, ears, tongue, touch

Within these, each organ has its own activity. Seeing, hearing, tasting, speaking and feeling. All of these activities are the senses through which a being can absorb and acquire knowledge.  Each of these helps us perceive things around us. The conglomeration of all of their activities is reported in the mind. The mind is your software. The hardware of the mind is called the brain. All of your learning takes place in the software of the mind.

I Want

That picture on the wall is the single most important thing in our life!

It’s a very powerful thing. When you want something badly enough, there is nothing out there that you cannot achieve. But you have to be very clear on your goals. Everyone wants success. Its not something you can put on a weighing scale in the supermarket and take it home. People say they want to be rich. How exactly do you decide that you are now rich. If you think about it, when you are making USD 5000, your expenses are within your income. Then you get to USD 10,000, you realise that your expenses have shot up. Then you are at USD 50,000 and your expenses catch up again. So, how much is enough?

Your goals need to be very clear.

The clarity of that picture has to be there instead of vague terms of reference. I want to be rich or I want to be successful doesn't really mean anything if you cant explain it. It has to be a very specific picture. Something you can see on the wall in front of you. View full article »

The Power of Words

April 24, 2012

A good speaker is not just creating a waterfall of words. That is just a barrage, like vomiting. Doesn’t make you a wordsmith. There is a big difference between speaking as an art and just speaking and you must understand that business, otherwise you will never understand the business you are in.

Its one thing to be a speaker and another thing to be able to speak your mind.

Its one thing to pour your words out and one thing to convince. View full article »

Are you mentally hungry?

Life is a bit like Formula One racing. We are in F1 and I like the concept of F1, which is why I chose this metaphor to explain this to you.

As an F1 driver, once you are in the cockpit, you are alone. No one can get in there with you. Ultimately its you and your maker. And when you are in that cockpit, it is the hairpin bend that makes all the difference.

If you have seen the Formula One track, you will notice the extreme curves and hairpin turns all over the track. And the skill of the driver is greatly tested when he reaches that hairpin bend, because he must maneuver it strategically without losing speed. Almost every car crash on the F1 track takes places either as the car gets into  into the hairpin or as its coming out of it.
